OUR CARE TEAM
Gayle Sherwood | Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling
Specialties: Grief, Trauma
My passion is helping people understand the world around them. I developed a heart for helping others while working in the veterinary field. I assisted clients during the end-of-life stage with their beloved pets. As a result of this experience, I have developed a deeper understanding of the importance of connection and support in all aspects of life.
Regardless of the individual or concern, I provide a caring approach to working through life’s challenges. This is true regardless of whether they are related to chronic illness, major life transitions, relationship difficulties, trauma, or grief and loss. In my role as your counselor, I will listen, partner with you, and provide you with support. This will help you overcome obstacles, achieve your goals, and ultimately live your fulfilling life. Through a person-centered approach, my goal is to help clients change thoughts and behaviors that cause challenges in all facets of life using Cognitive Behavioral Interventions tailored to each individual to create a well-balanced inner self.
My graduate degree is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my internship training, I worked with addictions and mental health needs at Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge. Currently, I am under clinical supervision of Dr. Anna Ramos (Ph.D., LPCC, LMHC).
